Alex Cheah, MD is a highly skilled and expertly trained plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. With superior surgical technique and an artistic eye, Dr. Cheah takes pride in his ability to achieve natural and stunning results.

After years of training at the highest level, Dr. Cheah now returns to his roots in Pasadena in affiliation with the esteemed Gordon Sasaki, MD. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, golf, reading, and travel.
Education and Training
Dr. Cheah attended the University of Southern California for his undergraduate degree, finishing with departmental honors and distinction as a Presidential Scholar. He went on to earn his medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
After completing a 5-year general surgery residency at INOVA Fairfax and becoming board certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Cheah’s exceptional performance and clinical acumen earned him a spot at the #1 plastic surgery program in the country – UT Southwestern – where he trained under world-renowned experts in the field of aesthetic surgery, with particular emphasis on facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, breast and body contouring, liposculpture/fat transfer, device-based therapies, and injectables.
Research
Dr. Cheah has won multiple awards for clinical excellence and developed a level of precision and expertise that sets him apart from his peers. His pursuit of knowledge also included a year at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital investigating outcomes in plastic surgery. His work has been presented at multiple national meetings and published in the fields’ leading peer-reviewed journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Aesthetic Surgery Journal.
